As Black America Was Lulled Into Focusing And Fearing The Tea Party Movement: Street Pirate Shooting Kills 4 In Washington DC

4 Teens In Washington DC Murdered As They Returned From Friend's Funeral

  • There will be no mass Civil Rights March rebuking this act
  • No one is going to tell those who have committed this terrorist act that "the community will not be intimidated
  • This threat will not be talked about or analyzed in a bigger picture on Maddow, Olbermann or HuffPo
  • There will not be any demand that the police get to the root of this problem, throwing everyone who did this "under the jail"
Instead this is "merely" 4 more Black folks that "got themselves kilt" in the normal background noise of violence that occurs on the streets of Black America.

Too many of our people are triggered by political opportunism and advantage. The evidence of our valuation of these people that we purport to value is demonstrated via outward political advocacy rather than INWARD connection and governance.  The theory is - after we achieve success in dealing with the EXTERNAL forces that have neglected these murder victims - resources will be rained down upon them and the killing will stop.

A crowd that was sprayed with bullets in a deadly drive-by shooting had just returned from the funeral of a man killed nearby, it has emerged.

Four teenagers were killed and five other people injured in the second attack in Washington DC - the worst shooting in the city for 16 years.
Three people, including a 14-year-old boy, have been charged over the drive-by and one of them, Orlando Carter, is also accused of carrying out the earlier attack.
Carter, 20, was charged in connection with the death on March 22 of Jordan Howe.
On March 23, Carter's brother Sanquan was charged with Howe's death and hours later, Carter was shot in the head and shoulder, according to court documents.
The latest shooting took place just a few hours after Howe's funeral.
Both the drive-by and Howe's killing were in an area known for drugs and related violence about seven miles from the White House.
Police are trying to find out if there was tension between two rival neighbourhood groups to try to stop more bloodshed.

Detectives said the three suspects, who also included Nathaniel Simms, 26, were arrested after officers chased a silver van and saw an AK-47 type weapon thrown from the vehicle. Other weapons were also found inside.
The attack took place outside an apartment building and the dead were named as 17-year-old Tavon Nelson, 19-year-old William Jones III, 16-year-old Brishell Jones and 18-year-old Devaughn Boyd.
The building's owner, William Cheek, said he had just walked across the street to buy a lottery ticket when he heard gunshots at about 7:30pm on Tuesday and saw many of the group on the ground.

His grandson was among the victims. "I saw him breathe his last breath," Mr Cheek said, with a tear running down his face. He was shot in the head."
Mr Cheek did not want to identify his grandson but said he played basketball and hoped to become a long-distance bus driver.
Ross Rauls, 26, said he had been to Howe's funeral but did not go to Mr Cheek's building and instead went to the gym.
He said the young men who were shot were not gang members.
"They weren't that type of people. It wasn't gang-related," Mr Rauls said. "It's a classic case of the wrong place, the wrong time."
